An adventure is typically defined as something where you let go and an experience out of the ordinary. It all started the morning after we got married we were set to fly out from Birmingham airport, my close friend picking us up in his Mercedes, travelling in a little style at least. We rushed some last minute packing and said our goodbyes to family.
We reached the the airport traffic free, thankfully it was a Sunday. We were waiting in line at check-in and talked about how everything has come to an end but a new chapter begins. We talked about wedding week, in fact we must have talked about the last 1 year in the making, slowly walking through the queue it felt like time had stopped for us.
Once we arrived at the check-in desk we weighed the baggage and then asked to see if we could get any form of complimentary upgrade as it was our honeymoon. Unfortunately the man on the desk sighed and said “we get this all the time“, he searched on his computer and said £1500 for business class upgrade. We politely said no thanks. We’d like to take this opportunity to say, don’t let this put you off. The age old adage of, “if you don’t ask you don’t get” comes to mind.
Once we got into the departures lounge we eagerly starting taking pictures of the pretty big planes. That’s when you can say the honeymoon started. We took selfies using our phones and started our montage clips using our SJ4000. Birmingham airport is a relatively small one, but once we got into the area where the shops were, we were happy.
It was 10:30 and we were hungry, what better way to start the day than to have Frankie and Bennys Traditional breakfast. The breakfast included: 2 Sausages, 2 rashers of streaky bacon, two fried eggs, grilled tomato, button mushrooms, Heinz baked beans and crispy French fries.
At the end of the meal we were in heaven. What a great start to our honeymoon!
