Over the bank holiday Sanjay and I decided to make the most of it by going to the cinema and having Fish and Chips.  The cinema is usually one of the first dates you’d think about going on with your BF/GF right? Well Sanjay and I had never been to the cinema before together as a couple, bank holiday Monday was the first time.

It was one of the best experiences I have been on with Sanjay, quite shockingly it’s the little things in life that please me.  We watched Xmen Apocalypse at Cineworld in Loughborough.

Cinema Stairs

Let me tell you the cinema is absolutely amazing, comfy seats, so much leg room and great sound! You guys should definitely check it out.

After this amazing movie we walked it down to Georges Fish and Chips, Sanjay loves his Fish and Chips, he told me a story once… back in the day when Sanjay was younger his dad used to come home after a late night at work and would bring home Fish and Chips and Sanjay used to come running down the stairs to eat with his dad.  When Sanjay told me this story his eye lit up and it felt like I was there experiencing that moment with him. This is why he loves taking me to the best places that do Fish and Chips.

Fish and Chips

Georges claim to be one of the best places to serve Fish and Chips ever, trust me they are! I cant stress the taste is amazing, the succulent fish and the properly cooked chips are the best quality, this is what you call good British Fish and Chips! Definitely worth a trip.

After filling ourselves with this amazing food we pondered over to the town centre and we were peckish for dessert. Sanjay vaguely mentioned that he had seen a good dessert place somewhere in the centre, and there it was… The Cheese Cake Shop. Even though I was pretty full with the Fish and Chips we still had room for dessert (who doesn’t)?

Choco Cake

My eyes lit up like a kid in a candy shop! Oh my gosh so much variety but I only had space for one… I picked the Strawberry Short Cake, and Sanjay picked the “chocolatiest” cake he could get. It was so delicious and made with so much love.

Its these little family run places that are truly special.
