Bit of a spontaneous one but yesterday we were in a store called B&M, looking for random things for the bathroom. We got to the isle where they stocked garden furniture. My eyes instantly lit up, and out of nowhere Sonal said, “that’s a cute BBQ” πŸ˜› We brought the BBQ and got home to prepare the chicken.

If you’d like to buy the BBQ, you can get it from here:

Starting the BBQ was easy. All you have to do is add about 5 fire lighter cubes and light them up. Once the fire starts to burn, get a handful of coal to cover the burning firelighters.  As you can see below you’ll end up with a nice flame. Once the flame dies down and the coal becomes a white colour, you are now ready to cook.

Now the fun begins, we marinated the chicken and left it overnight using yoghurt, chilli powder, garlic-ginger paste and turmeric powder. The funny story behind this was that I accidently added a heaped spoon of extra hot chilli powder. Thankfully we added lemon juice and extra yoghurt to try and calm the heat down. We even had some sausages that we got from Tesco just in case the chicken turned out too spicy πŸ˜‰

Don’t forget to oil the grill as you’ll want to hear that satisfying sizzle.

We had such a great time today. The food was yummy and it was one of those days where you feel like it lasted forever. You know it’s not what you eat or the amount of people you have at your BBQ, but it’s about spending quality time with loved ones.  ♥

We’re going to try and make this a regular thing, far too often we complain as a society that life is boring and there is nothing to live for. You could have had the hardest day at work, and focusing your energy on something worth focussing for is a good way for your mind and soul to repair. BBQs are great as you experience the outdoors and it allows you to forget about your troubles, its also about having fun and geting to eat yummy food.

Go on, stop making excuses and get yourself a BBQ and start having fun! You wont regret it.

Have an awesome week everyone!
